Introduction

       Our research activities involve structural and stability studies on proteins and protein-complexes by a combination of experimental (biochemical and biophysical methods: X-ray Crystallography, Circular Dichroism Spectroscopy, DSC) and theoretical approaches (such as molecular modelling and molecular dynamics simulations) aiming at elucidating fundamental aspects of protein folding and structure/stability/function relationships.

       Our current  Research  Projects  are summarized as follows:

·         Structure/stability studies of protein-protein interaction modules with emphasis on repeat-containing proteins

·         Structure and stability studies of enzymes

·         Molecular modelling of peptides and proteins of medical interest and their interactions

     The infrastructure available is part of the  Center for Crystallographic studies of Macromolecules (C.C.M.). CCM is located at the Institute of Biology at NCSR "Demokritos" and was established in  September 1998 as part of a network of a large number of research groups related to Structural Biology from various Academic Institutions of Greece.  The CCM is equipped with
